Linda Dianne Smith

Linda Dianne Smith, 61, of Lynchburg, VA, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012. She was the wife of the late Melford Ray Smith.

 

Linda was born Monday, January 8, 1951 in Lynchburg, VA, a daughter of the late Garland Denny Smith and Sadie Shannon Smith. She was a retired self-employed Certified Nursing Assistant and a member of The River Church.

 

She is survived three daughters: Shana Campbell & husband, Randy, Deanna Dawn Doss and Mike Stern, and Crystal Renee Simmons and her husband, Johnny; three brothers: Jimmy Lee Smith, Lewis Smith, and Danny Smith; a sister: Carolyn Ford; grandchildren: Phillip Campbell, Jamie Leigh Campbell, J. W. Campbell, Andrew Wright, Aron Doss, Summer Simmons, and Harley Archor; and great-grandchildren: Kelly Marie Campbell and Peyton Nicole Wright.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons: Chad Powell and David Doss and a brother: Bobby Smith.

 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012, at 11:00 AM at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
