Linda Kaye Graber, 65, passed away on July 11, 2013 in Lynchburg. She began her life in Roanoke, VA on September 20, 1947, born to Lida "Catherine" Basham Shively and the late Earl Shively. She was married to Stan Graber for 42 years.
Linda attended Northside High School in Roanoke, VA, and the University of Tennessee where she earned her degree in education. She taught English at Staunton River High School, Jefferson Forest High School, and Brookville High School. Linda was active in the community and her church, Heritage United Methodist.
In addition to her husband and mother, Linda is survived by her sons: Scott Graber and wife, Jennifer, and their daughters Bella, Zoë and Olivia; and Brad Graber and wife, Kerri, and their children, Kiley and Blaine. She was preceded in death by her son, Todd Alan Graber.
Family, friends, and collectibles were Linda's passions. She delighted in playing with her grandchildren, taking pictures, and visiting her mother and the residents of the Carrington.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory on 220 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, VA.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Heritage United Methodist Church with the Pastor Will Montgomery officiating.
