Linda Mann Hyler, 91, formerly of Lynchburg, left this world for a better one in Heaven on Sunday, September 10, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late James V. “Bo” Hyler.
Linda had a career with Verizon for over 20 years. Bo’s career transferred them from Richmond to New Jersey, to Maryland and finally retiring in 1991 at Smith Mt. Lake for 14 years. In 2004 they moved to Lynchburg where she resided until her husband’s passing. Linda moved to the Richmond area where she peacefully passed away. Linda and Bo loved to travel, they went on several cruises and tried visiting most states. Florida and Hawaii were their two favorites. She said, “our life was one great ride and we enjoyed it to the fullest.
She leaves behind a loving and devoted daughter, Dana Hinton Hoffmann and her husband Robert W. Hoffmann, Rockville, VA, and son, Charles “Chuck” W. Hinton III and his wife Debbie Hinton, Chester, VA, granddaughter, Brittany Elizabeth Hinton, Louisa, VA, sister, Gail Mann Fields of Greensboro, NC, stepson, Michael Hyler and wife Paula and their daughters, Kristen, and Lindsey Hyler, all of Georgia, along with many nieces and nephews throughout several states.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Buford “Bert” A. Mann, and Lucille Martin Mann, two brothers, Ralph O’Donnell Mann and Jimmy Ather Mann and her beloved dogs Molly and Samantha.
A graveside service will be held at Danville Memorial Gardens, Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 12 noon.
