Linda Morgan Mays

Linda Morgan Mays, 67, of Madison Heights died January 1, 2013 she was the devoted wife of David Allen Mays, Sr. for 40 years.

Linda was born December 21, 1945 in Lynchburg a daughter of the late William Tunstall Morgan and the late Magdeline Nicholas Morgan. Linda was retired from Ericsson and General Electric and was a charter member of Randolph Memorial Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband she is survived by son Bryan Lee Morris and wife Jane of Forest, a daughter Valerie M. Kidd and husband Wayne \"Bootsie\" of Monroe, a sister Sandra M. Spencer and husband Robert of Lynchburg, five grandchildren: Morgan Kidd, Regan, Skyler, Kaine, and Walker Morris, a step-son Darrell Lee Mays and wife Jenny of Evington, a step-daughter Debbie Blankenship and husband Billy of Forest, 7 step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother William Dixon Morgan and a step-son David Allen Mays, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday January 3, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg. A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday January 4, 2013 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Jack Hamilton officiating.
