Linda “Cissy” Peregoy Holton, living in her 70th year of life, of Lynchburg went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 2, 2018.
Cissy was born September 22, 1949 in Christiansburg, a daughter of the late George Spencer Peregoy and Theodosia Perdue Peregoy. She was a proud 1998 graduate of Randolph-Macon Women’s College with a Bachelor’s in Art History.
She is survived by her daughters: Tonya Marina Murray of Greensboro, NC, Ivy St. Clair Holton of Lynchburg, and Mary Theil Holton of Lynchburg, nine grandchildren: Isabella and Spencer Murray, Quinlan Moseley, Mia, Mayla, and Monica Ross, Bella, Percy, and Pearl Holton, one brother Randy Peregoy (Sharon) of Salem, her close friend Joan Fogarty, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Frank Wayne Peregoy and her son, Larion Gopadze.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg.
A Celebration of Cissy’s Life will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with the Rev. Marina Gopadze officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke.
