Lloyd Sharp Jr., 88, of Bedford, Va., died Sunday, February 12, 2017. He was the loving husband of Justine Brown Sharp.
Lloyd was born Thursday, October 11, 1928 in Van, WV, a son of the late Lloyd Sharp, Sr. and Mabel Davenport Sharp. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. Lloyd was retired from Peabody Coal Company where he was a coal miner. He was a devoted Christian and family man.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Cecil Sharp and his wife, Janet, of Charleston, W.V., Johnny Sharp and his wife, Louise Sharp, of Forest, Va., and Joey Sharp, and his wife, Sherry, of Van, W.V.; five grandchildren, Carrie Hamilton, Jennifer Sharp, John Sharp, Scotty Sharp, and Amber Brown; and five great-grandchildren, Grayson, Ella, Calli, Lillian, and Hunter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lamont Sharp and Howard Sharp.
As requested by Lloyd, no services will be held. Romans 10:9.
