Lois Jean Dye

Lois Jean Dye, 86, formerly of Bedford, Virginia and most recently of Ruskin, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at Plaza West Center in Sun City, Florida, surrounded by her loving husband, Dennis; her daughter, Sandy; and her son‑in‑law, John.

Born on July 15, 1938, to the late Jasper and Audrey Orange, Lois devoted her life to her family. Her gentle spirit, warmth, and kindness touched all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

Lois is survived by her husband, Dennis Dye; three children, Randy, Sandy, and Rory; grandchildren Corey, Randy Jr., and Derick; many cherished great‑grandchildren; several brothers, sisters, and in‑laws; and her beloved dog.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with interment to follow at Virginia Memorial Park.
