Lois J. Mccartney

Lois J. McCartney, 84, of Forest, is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lois was born on March 8, 1935 in Painesville, Ohio and lived in the Lynchburg area for 40 years. Lois was a medical technologist for 21 years. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. Mrs. McCartney worked at Lake County Hospital in Ohio and for doctors in the Lynchburg area.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Neal G. McCartney; her children Kevin G. McCartney (Bonnie) of Clayton, N.C., Lori Jennings (Donald) of Lynchburg, and Kelly Felker (Daryl) of Winston-Salem, N.C.; her grandchildren Kenneth G. McCartney (Ashley) of Edinburgh, Scotland, Brian Jennings (Emily) of Canton, Ga., Chad Jennings (Kim) of Washington, D.C., Stefani Sprinkle (Brent) of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Kati Meckley (Patrick) of Lynchburg, Va.; seven great-grandsons; and a sister, Barbara Blackmore of Painesville, Ohio.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April15, 2019 at Heritage Baptist Church from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. A celebration of Lois’ life will be held on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Heritage Baptist Church at 3 p.m. with Pastor Del Laird officiating.
