Lois Jean (Moon) Campbell, 79, entered into eternal rest and peace on December 25, 2014 surrounded by her immediate family. Lois was born in Gladys, VA on January 31, 1935, the daughter of James Sydnor and Mabel (Smith) Moon of Lynchburg, VA. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 53 years, John Michael “Mike” Campbell, Sr.; sons, John “Johnny” Campbell, Jr. of Walterboro, SC and Andrew “Andy” Campbell (Jan) of Gainesville, FL; grandchildren Kristin and Justin; and many other family and friends.
Lois was a faithful follower of Christ Jesus and for the past 20 years, a member of Azalea Baptist Church in Norfolk, VA. She served in various duties of the church including Sunday School teacher for the ladies Lydia class, deacon, and was most recently honored as Deacon Emeritus. She was Queen of her Elite Sassy Red Hatters charter.
Lois will be forever remembered for her beautiful smile and good heart. A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 2:30 pm at Azalea Baptist Church. Private interment will be at the Moon family cemetery in Rustburg, VA.
