Lois Jeanne Pearson, 87, of Lynchburg, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 20, 2015, at Centra Health Hospice House. She was the beloved wife of L. Joel Pearson for 66 years.
Born Friday, October 7, 1927, in Danville, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Roy Milton Bottorff and the late Grace Green Bottorff, and was born again on June 1938.
She was a member of West Lynchburg Baptist Church.
Surviving are her sons, Timothy Blair Pearson and wife, Connie, Phillip Wayne Pearson, David Joel Pearson and wife, Julie; a sister, Shirley Cearing; four grandchildren, Camberly Elisabeth Pearson, Timothy Michael Pearson, Jennifer Lynn Pearson, and Kristy Ann Montesano and husband, Mike; and two great-grandchildren, Isebella Selena Pearson and Jackson W. Montesano.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at West Lynchburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert Putt and the Rev. Herbert Maynard officiating. A reception will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to West Lynchburg Baptist Church, 3031 Memorial Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24501, or to the Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center, 1920 Atherholt Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
