Loretta Crismond

Loretta Noonkester Crismond, 88, of Bedford passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017 at her residence. She was born on February 19. 1929 in Grant, VA. She was a daughter of the late Reggie Lee Noonkester and Arcie Katherine Parks Noonkester. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death her son, Rev. William Gary Crismond, also by two brothers and two sisters.

Loretta was a member of Suck Spring Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling across the states in their RV. She also enjoyed spending time in her flowers and gardening. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Loretta is survived by her husband, William Buchanan Crismond; a daughter, Dianne Crismond Johnston and her husband, Lawrence, Jr.; two grandchildren, Kory Formon and wife, Jenny and Wystan Davis Crismond and his wife, Jodi; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

A funeral service and celebration of Loretta’s life will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Suck Spring Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford.
