Loretta Foster

Loretta Hawkins Foster, 80, of Goode died Saturday, September 29, 2012. She was the devoted wife of the late John E. Foster.

 Loretta was born May 7, 1932 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Leroy Hawkins and the late Hilda Hawkins. She was a devoted seamstress for over 60 years and the owner and operator of Loretta\"™s Alterations. She loved going to the beach and spending time with her family. She was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church and recently attended Sedalia Baptist Church. Most importantly was her love and dedication to the Lord.

 Loretta is survived by two children; Cheryl F. Winn and her husband Charles \"Charlie\" of Goode, who was a devoted-loving son-in-law, and Lynne F. Simpson of Lynchburg; a brother, Ronald Hawkins and his wife and devoted sister-in-law Phylis of Madison Heights; a former son-in-law Robbie Simpson of Madison Heights; two sister-in-laws: Lillian Bobbitt and Nellie Foster, six grandchildren: Christy W. Land, Mary E. Winn, Courtney W. Tinnell, Tiffany S. Parker, Jonathan B. Simpson and Dylan R. Simpson and ten great grandchildren.

 A visitation will be held on Monday October 1, 2012 from 6:00 \"" 8:00 pm at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A funeral service will be held Tuesday October 2, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jonathan Falwell and Rev. David Heerspink officiating. Interment will follow at Meade Cemetery in Madison Heights.
