Louis Edward Hawkins, Jr. 75, of Appomattox, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Born October 24, 1938 in Lynchburg; he was the son of the late Louis Edward Hawkins and Helen Nelson Hawkins.
Louis is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Wood Hawkins; children, Keith Hawkins and wife, Susan of Appomattox, Liz Rucker and husband, Sparky of Rustburg, Lisa Looney of Monroe, Debbie Hogan of Lynchburg; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 PM, Friday, May 2, 2014 at the graveside in Fort Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will be received Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg (434-237-9424) is assisting the family.
