Louis Martin Papet, 82, of Lynchburg, died Monday November 30, 2015, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was the husband of the late LeeAnna Blanchard Papet.
Louis was born on June 14, 1933, in White Castle, Louisiana, a son of the late Leonce Papet and Corrine Comeaux Papet. Louis honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for over 30 years as a Civil Engineer with the Federal Highway Administration, and lived with his family in many different areas of the country during his career. He was a parishioner of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
He is survived by his son, Louis M. Papet, Jr. and his wife, Sharyn of Forest; five grandchildren, Louis M. Papet, III, Lindsay Papet Quigg, Blake Papet, Gabriel Papet, and Zoe Papet; one great-grandson, Mason David Quigg; and one sister, Clara Roberts of White Castle, La. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Benjamin James Papet.
A Mass of Christian burial for Louis will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at Ascension Catholic Church in Donaldsonville, La.
