Louis Stauss Emsley

March 22, 1931 — December 23, 2016

Louis Stauss Emsley, 85, of Prospect, Va. passed away on December 23, 2016.

He was the loving husband of Eleanore Emsley for 65 years.

In addition to his wife Elly, he is survived by his sisters, Mae Raymond and Ruth Kelly.

Lou was the loving father of his 3 daughters, Louanne D’Angelo, her husband, Dominic, 3 children, Staci, Jon and Danielle and 9 grandchildren; Carol Espinosa, her husband, Gustavo A. Espinosa, M.D.; Lynda Pasternack, her husband David and their son Nicholas.

In 1991, Lou retired from teaching Radio and Television Production at Bucks County PA Vocational Tech School and moved to Prospect Va. Throughout his life Lou was an avid Train buff and Collector. After retiring to Va., Lou insisted on building his own Train Depot where he spent countless hours preparing his yearly Christmas platform display. Kids and Adults alike came each year to see his Train Display throughout the Holiday Season.

Lou was a member of the High Bridge Railroad Club for many years. His trains will now Roll along the tracks in his Memory at Bevell’s Hardware in Blackstone Va.

A Celebration of Lou’s Life will be conducted on Saturday, December 31st, at 2:00 p.m.,at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 Langhorne Rd. Lynchburg, VA 24503.
