Louise Blanks Young

Louise Blanks Young, 89, of Forest, VA, died Friday, April 05, 2013. She was the wife of the late Dr. John Sedgwick Young.

Mrs. Young was born, Saturday, June 30, 1923 in Virginia, a daughter of the late Walter Ennis Blanks and the late Anna Crew Blanks. Louise was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, staying at home to care for her family and a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Betty Louise Young Henderson of Lynchburg, John Harvey Young (Gail) of Lynchburg, George Thomas Young (Laura) of Bristol, VA and Jeffrey Blanks Young of Forest; grandchildren, Sara Louise Henderson Esposito (Dominic) of Newport News, Joshua Sedgwick Young (Jen) of Richmond, Spencer Kent Young (Margaret) of Bristol, VA, James Tyler Young of Lynchburg, John Sedgwick Young II and George Wilson Young both of Bristol; three great-grandchildren, Nickolas David Esposito ,Bridger Lee Esposito and Louise Meriwether Young and a special niece, Charlene Foster Copeland (Charles) of Denver, CO.

The family wishes to thank Delores Banton for her loving care of Louise.

A celebration of Louise's life will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 10 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Land, officiating.
