Louise Dillard Bolling, 84, of Altavista died Monday August 15, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of the late Russell Alton Bolling.
Louise was born June 27, 1927 in Pittsylvania County a daughter of the late Eugene Emmett Dillard and Annie Epperson Dillard. She worked for over 33 years at the Lane Company and was a member of Lane Memorial United Methodist Church in Altavista.
She is survived by her son R.A. Bolling, Jr. and his wife Frankie of Forest, two sisters: Bennie Mae Atkins and Susie Bailey both of Hurt. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Blanche Dalton, 3 half-brothers: Dunn, Horace, and Coren Dillard; and two half-sisters, Mildred Mitchell and Dot Kinzer.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday August 16, 2011 at Lane Memorial United Methodist Church in Altavista.
A Celebration of Louise\"™s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday August 17, 2011 at Lane Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Allen Combs and the Rev. Jeff Whitt officiating. Interment will follow at Altavista Memorial Park. A reception will follow the interment at the church.
