God called one of his angels home on Sunday, December 9, 2018, Louise “Nanny” Goodman, 97, of Lynchburg. She was the wife of the late Cornelius “Nookie” Goodman.

Born Sunday, March 20, 1921 in Campbell County, she was one of eleven children born to the late Richard Phelps and the late Mary Phelps. She retired from Duti-Duds. Her hobbies included playing cards, quilting, Aggravation and spending time with her very large family. She loved her God and worshiped him at Campbell Avenue Baptist Church where she was the longest charter member. We know she will be a truly amazing angel in heaven because she was a truly amazing angel here on earth.

She was predeceased by sons, Chuck Goodman and Raymond Lee Goodman; a daughter, Evelyn Bruffy; three daughters-in-law, Carolyn Goodman, Patricia Goodman and Faye Goodman and nine siblings.
