Lucille "Lucy" Marie Colvin Bailey

Lucille "Lucy" Marie Colvin Bailey, 93, of Huddleston, Virginia passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy Jeskey Colvin.

Lucy was born on April 29, 1931, in Oregon. She attended school at Ball State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science. For ten and a half years she worked for the Madison County Department of Welfare. The next twelve years were spent at the Community Hospital of Indianapolis. She also served a term as Madison County Commissioner.

Lucy enjoyed sewing, reading, yard work, the theater and politics. The highlights of her life were her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her professional life as a single individual, winning an election and having God in her life, knowing he opens doors and leads us through.

She is survived by her son, Craig Bailey; grandchildren, Susan (Billy) Radford, Anna Culverhouse, Samantha Serfilippi, Steven Bailey and Jackson Bailey; great-grandchildren, Alana Curry, Matthew Radford, Josh Radford, Caleb Radford, Landon Radford; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

In addition to her parents, Lucille is preceded in death by her daughter Susan Paula Bailey, and her son, Scott Bailey

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at Aurora Community Cemetery, Oak Ln NE, Aurora, Oregon 97002.
