Lucy Ashwell Mays, 70, of Lynchburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 26, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Maggie and Marvin Ashwell, sisters: Sandra Ashwell and Patricia Prettyman.
She is survived by a daughter, Robin Wilson, a son, Dexter Porterfield, her boyfriend, Jerry Swann, sisters, Mary Dodgion and Charlene Blondino, a brother, Howard Ashwell, two grandchildren.
A memorial service to Celebrate the life Lucy lived will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, VA. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
