Lula Goff Pribble

Lula Goff Pribble, 84, of Lynchburg passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Medical Care Center. She was the wife of the late Arthur Leftwich Pribble, Sr. for 50 years.

Lula was born October 5, 1925 in Big Island. She was the daughter of the late Robert Allen Goff and Matilda Jane Goff. She was a retired seamstress after 25 years with Imperial Reading and a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lula was preceded in death by her son, Fletcher A. Pribble, her grandson, five sisters, and three brothers.

She is survived by her children, Arthur L. Pribble, Jr. and his wife, Sandy of Richmond, Doug Pribble and his wife, Susan of Rustburg, and Debbie P. Wilgus and her husband, Orie of Evington; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 1, 2010 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday, April 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Fort Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Carlton Duck officiating.
