Lula P. Agee
Lula P. Agee, 83, of Bedford, died Thursday, August 16, 2012 in Oakwood Health & Rehab. She was born December 4, 1928 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Judson Virginia Overstreet Parker and Preston Henry Parker.
Lula was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and a retiree of Frank Chervan, Inc. with over 24 years of service.
In addition to her parents, Lula was preceded in death by husband, James William \"Bill\" Agee; four brothers, Claude Parker, Lonnie Parker, John Parker and Abner Parker; and one sister, Myrtle Dooley. She is survived by a son, James A. Agee and his wife, Barbara of Hawaii; three grandchildren, James W. Gregg, III and his wife, Shelly of Bedford, Jennifer Ann Blackwell and Daniel Agee and wife, Echo both of Hawaii; seven great-grandchildren, Holley Gregg, Megan Gregg and Cameron Gregg all of Bedford, Jeffrey Blackwell and Brandon Blackwell both of Hawaii, and Nolan Agee and Catie Agee both of Hawaii; two brothers, Allan Parker and Buford Parker both of Bedford; one sister, Frances Amos; two sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to American Heart Association, 4504 Starkey Road, Roanoke, VA 24018.
A celebration of Lula\"™s life will be conducted at 12 Noon, Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe A. Shoop officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Friday, August 17, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 540-586-3443.
