Mabel Reynolds Gillette , 90, of Lynchburg, Va., died Sunday, February 28, 2016. She was the loving wife of the late John Ralph Gillette. Mabel was born Monday, March 16, 1925 in Campbell Co., Va., a daughter of the late David Gilmore and Mary Evie Reynolds.
Left to cherish her memory are devoted nieces and nephews, Debra Spradlin, Angie Bryant, Mark Smith, Chris Bryant and many others.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Joseph Joyner, and eleven brothers.
A celebration of Mabel’s life will be held at Tharp Funeral Home’s Lynchburg Chapel on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
