Mae Belle Bennett

On May 25th, 2011, Mae Belle Bennett, 85, of Rustburg, VA was called to go home with her Savior for which she had longed to see.  There she was reunited with her husband Russell Edwin Bennett who had gone on before her.

To her children, Peter David Bennett of Lynchburg, Suzanne Faith Brown and husband Bill of Lynchburg, Linda Reid  and husband Vernon of Lynchburg, Ruth Ann Bunn and husband Ed of Rustburg, Diane Jane Smith and husband Rick of Syracuse, NY; 12 grandchildren, Christopher Bennett, John, Timothy, and Becky Brown, Jennifer Reid Anders and David Reid, Adam and Matthew Bunn, and Alton, Aaron, and Amanda Smith Hamlett; 19 great-grandchildren, she passed on the saving knowledge of her Lord Jesus Christ and his promise of eternal life.

She was preceded in death by a grandson Michael Reid.

To our Mother we thank you for that promise that we know \"We Will See You Again.\"

To her friends who had the honor to know her she was the \"Shining Light\" of \"God\"™s Love\" and to those who didn\"™t a blessing was truly missed.

We love you mom- You will forever be in our hearts.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.  A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, May 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Pate Chapel, Thomas Road Baptist Church by the Pastor Jonathan Falwell and Rev. David Heerspink.  Interment will follow in Cumbie Memorial Cemetery.
