Mae Crank Kelley, 90, of Lynchburg, Va., died Saturday, July 2, 2016. She was the wife of the late Weldon Kirkwood Kelley for 58 years.
Born April 20, 1926 in Lynchburg; Mae was a daughter of the late Otis Lee Crank and the late Ruth Howell Crank.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mae was preceded in death by her brother, Otis Lee Crank, Jr.
Mae is survived by a brother, William H. Crank and his wife Pat, of Lynchburg; a sister Frances C. Marshall, of Lynchburg and several nieces and nephews.
She was educated in Lynchburg schools and after graduation worked for the C & P Telephone Co. until her husband was transferred to Richmond, Va. in 1965. Eleven years later when he was transferred to Roanoke, they elected to live in Bedford, Va. They lived there until her husband’s death in 2010. Mae then lived at Westminster-Canterbury, Lynchburg until her death. She was a life-long and devoted member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and an accomplished homemaker.
A celebration of Mae’s life will be held at a later date.
