Malcolm Edward Wilder

Malcolm (Mal) Edward Wilder, 81, of Lynchburg, VA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Westminster Canterbury Skill Care Unit in Lynchburg, VA. Mr. Wilder was owner of The Band Box and TGIF Outlets as well as the First Motel of Lynchburg, The Presidential. He was a member of Agudath Sholom Synagogue. He served in the Army during the War of Korea.

He was the son of the late Louis Wilder and the late Belle Wilder.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Florence Wilder; two daughters: Jody Rook and her husband Bobby and Stephanie Deasy and her husband Derek. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Lindsey Rook, Erin Rook, Ryan Deasy and Brenden Deasy.

 A private service was held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The American Cancer Society and Agudath Shalom Synagogue. Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family, (434) 237-9424.
