Malcolm Lee Perrow, 56, of Lynchburg passed away suddenly at his residence, Thursday, July 31, 2014. For 30 years, he was the loving husband of Judy Parrish Perrow.
Born January 30, 1958 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Malcolm Watkins Perrow and Billie Williamson Perrow. Malcolm was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and also attended Indian Hill United Methodist Church. Malcolm served on the administrative council at Providence UMC.
In addition to his wife, Malcolm is survived by three sons: William Malcolm Perrow; Steven Michael Lee Perrow; Joseph Samuel Perrow and special friend Lindsey; sister, Sally M. Almond and husband, David; and his father-in-law: Willie A. Parrish.
He is also preceded in death by his grandparents: Katie and William Perrow; Charlotte and Arnold Williamson; and Mother-in-Law, Nancy W. Parrish.
Malcolm was a 1976 graduate of Rustburg High School. He went on to obtain an Associate Degree from CVCC. In 1991, Malcolm graduated from Lynchburg College with a Bachelors degree in Physics. Malcolm was employed at Babcock and Wilcox as an engineer, with 36 years of service.
In his spare time he worked on cars and was an avid Civil War history enthusiast, member of Garland-Rodes Sons of Confederate Veterans #409, and enjoyed spending time with family
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Jack Davis and the Rev. Ronald Litton officiating. Interment will follow at Providence United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
