It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Maquale Dashon Moon.
Born on April 1, 1991, in Lynchburg, Virginia, Maquale brightened the lives of everyone he met, leaving behind a legacy of joy that will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
Maquale graduated in 2010 from Altavista High School, where his humor and full-of-life personality quickly earned him many friends. He dedicated his professional life to food services at Virginia Baptist Hospital, where he brought smiles and laughter to families of patients and colleagues alike.
Sadly, Maquale's life was cut short on March 25, 2025, following a tragic motorcycle accident. His unexpected departure has left a profound void in the lives of all who knew him.
Maquale found beauty in the simple pleasures of life. A motorcycle rider and a lover of four-wheelers, he often embraced the thrill of adventure. You could catch him at any time giving his pup son Kannon a ride. He delighted and found peace in watching movies, spending time relaxing at home, and most definitely enjoying some good food. His ability to find humor in any situation was his unique gift, transforming ordinary moments into cherished memories.
Maquale is survived by his beloved mother; Keesha Moon, and his devoted bonus dad; Tyrone Noell, Jr. He shared a special bond with his siblings; Montarius Moon and Shayla Noell. He took his role as the oldest brother very seriously. The joy he brought to their lives will remain a guiding light as they navigate the times ahead. His precious nieces; Asia Noell and Remini Hall, and his nephew; Ayden Noell, will carry forward his adventurous spirit and zest for life.
He will also be lovingly remembered by his maternal grandmother; Dianne Moon, paternal grandmother; Evelyn Davis, as well as his bonus grandparents; Tyrone Noell, Sr., Mary Noell, and Barbara Strange, his Centra, Virginia Baptist Hospital family and countless of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father; Jessie Goffigan, Jr., maternal grandfather; Elburn Brown "Blue”, paternal grandfather; Jessie Goffigan, Sr., and his pup son; Kason Moon.
