Margaret Brown Puckette

Margaret Elizabeth Brown Warren Puckette, 91, of Lynchburg, VA, died Friday, June 01, 2012. She was the wife of the late J.R. Warren, and the late Robert Leonard Puckette.

Born Saturday, February 26, 1921 in Richmond, VA, Margaret was a daughter of the late Margaret Elizabeth Hinton Brown, and the late Rev. William Henry Brown.

In addition to her parents, and her husbands, Margaret was preceded in death by abrother William Hinton Brown.

Margaret is survived by two sons: Jerry L. Warren and his wife, Rosalyn, of Plantation, FL, and Cecil W. Warren and his wife, Ruta, of Grants Pass, OR; a step-son, Ret. Col. Cecil L. Puckette and his wife, Carolyn, of Forest, two grandchildren: Terri Lynn Virga and her husband, Paul, of Pompano Beach, FL, and Eric William Warren, of Cotati, CA; a great-granddaughter, Isabella Virga, of Pompano Beach, FL, and a nephew, W. H. Brown, Jr., of Winter Park, FL.

Margaret was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Forest Chapter #143, a charter member of Cardinal Lace Guild, a member of Retired Seniors Volunteer Program of Campbell County, since August of 2003. Doing volunteer work Margaret knitted over 1,000 baby caps for Virginia Baptist Hospital. She loved working with flowers inside and in the yard and enjoyed sharing them with friends. She loved all kinds of needlework, especially Bobbin Lace. She could not do without her cat, Little Girl.

A celebration of Margaret\"™s life will be held at Valley View Retirement Community, 1213 Long Meadows Drive, Lynchburg, on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m., with Chaplain Wayne Lanham officiating.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Allan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center, 1920 Atherholt Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501 or to the Lynchburg Humane Society, 3305 Naval Reserve Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
