Jane Carder

Margaret Jane Carder, 72 of Bedford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at her residence. She was born on February 19, 1951, in Newport News, VA. A daughter of the late Harry Madison Carder and Mary Hannah Kennedy Croft.

Jane was a graduate of Liberty High School and went to further her Education from Virginia Tech. She loved the outdoors while going fishing and especially her fishing trips with her uncle Tom. Camping, time in the mountains, trout fishing, art, music, and time with her family and friends were some of her favorite things. There wasn’t an instrument that Jane couldn’t play. Her compassion and wonderful personality were so evident while helping others in a time of need. Jane’s determination and attitude was much like her late mother’s.

She is survived by her aunts, cousins, and many extended family and friends. Also surviving is her loving four-legged companion Kattie. She was a fun-loving soul and will be missed by all that knew her.
