Margaret Louise Carter Orange

Margaret Louise Carter Orange, 77, of Thaxton, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Born June 13, 1937 in Bedford; she was a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Carter and Lissie Welch Carter.
She was a member of Cool Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church. Margaret enjoyed shopping and bingo. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She loved racing, especially Jimmy Johnson and she loved football, especially the Washington Redskins. Margaret was also a big Elvis fan!
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar A. Orange; son, David A. Orange; five brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by her children, Donald T. Orange and wife, Belinda, Joseph H. Orange, and friend Allie, Mary O. Caldwell and husband, Larry, Angela O. Ingle and husband, Kim, Patricia O. Carter and husband, Marvin; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke, VA 24018.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 1, 2014 in the Chapel of Tharp Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Land Cemetery. Family and friends will be received Friday, October 31, 2014 from 7 to 9 pm at Tharp Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service Saturday.
