Margaret Nash Moore, 79, of Forest died Saturday, November 26, 2016. She was the wife of Edward Moore for 60 years.
Margaret was born on April 8th, 1937, the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Nash of Concord, Virginia.
She was an employee of Kroger for over 40 years. She enjoyed taking trips with her sisters, arranging flowers, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Edward Moore, she is survived by her daughters, Mitzi (Gordon) Halleck and Gail (Tom) McGowan and special family friend, Kevin (Kim) Eldridge. She is also survived by her siblings Elizabeth Watson, Gerald (Sonny) Nash, Jack Nash, Barbara Mays and Jane Fears. She has five grandchildren: Kara Wardell, Thomas McGowan Jr., Zachary Halleck, Emily McGowan and Treavor Halleck. She has two great-grandchildren, Aria and Kylar, as well.
A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held in the Chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, on Monday, November 28, 2016, at 2 PM with Pastors Richard Jett and Andrew McQuaid officiating. The family will receive friends tonight, Sunday, November 27, 2016, from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. Donations can be made to Gideons International in the name of the family.
