Margaret P. Estes went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 21, 2017. She was born in Gatesville, Texas on August 20, 1922 to parents Walter Parks and Earline Pennington. She married John H. Estes III in 1946. Margaret lived with her husband in El Paso, TX before moving to San Antonio, TX and then Moneta, VA.
She volunteered for many years at a Hospital in El Paso. She provided comfort to many patients. She also worked with the local churches, and enjoyed traveling around the USA with her husband. She was loved by many.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John H. Estes III and a sister Etta Blanchard. She is survived by her son, John H. Estes IV, her daughter, Margaret J. Davis, 6 Grandchildren, 14 Great-grandchildren, and 4 Great-great grandchildren.
A Memorial will be held at a later date at Bethlehem United Methodist Church after interment next to her Husband in El Paso. Her desire was for donations in memoriam to be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Moneta VA, 13586 Old Moneta Rd, Moneta, VA 24121 or The Methodist Children’s Home, 1111 Herring Ave, Waco, TX 76708.
