Margaret White Jefferson

Margaret White Jefferson, 97, of Lynchburg, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at The Carrington. She was the wife of the late W. Archer Jefferson.
She was born May 7, 1919, in Amherst County, a daughter of the late Willard Fillmore White and the late Lora Layne White. Also, she was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by a daughter, Jane Archer Jefferson Gnali and son-in-law Giancarlo Gnali of Staunton, Va.; two granddaughters, Margaret “Meg” Gnali, Marisa G. Jacobs; and great-grandson Reid A. Jacobs.
Margaret was a graduate of E.C. Glass High School and attended Virginia Commercial College, and was employed for many years with Metropolitan Life Ins. Co. She was a lifetime and active member of Rivermont Ave. Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, October 17, 2016, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, with Pastor Glen Land officiating.
