Margaret Ziegler Kirkpatrick

Margaret Ziegler Kirkpatrick, 78, of Forest passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018.
Born May 21, 1940, she was a daughter of the late George Frederick Ziegler and Ruth Perkins Carson.
Margaret graduated from Cumberland County High School and later attended nursing school at Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA. She was an Operating Room Technician at Lynchburg General Hospital for 39 years and was a member of Mt. View United Methodist Church in Forest.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant son, Daniel Alan Kirkpatrick, and brother, George Frederick (Ricky) Ziegler.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Clifford Lupton Kirkpatrick of Forest; son, Michael Sean Kirkpatrick (Melanie) of Forest; sisters, Norma Kirby of Powhatan, Gayle Phelps of Richmond, and Ann Howell of Gretna; Brother, William Ziegler (Marie) of Roanoke; sisters in law, Joyce Houston of Lynchburg, Rebecca Myers, of High Point, NC; brother in law, Kenneth Kirkpatrick (Joyce) of Portland, ME; grandchildren, Kristen Kirkpatrick Hall (Michael) of Greensboro, NC; Zachary Sean Kirkpatrick of St. Louis, MO; great grandchild, Parker Thomas Hall, of Greensboro, NC, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Virginia Memorial Park in Forest.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
