Margareta Carpenter

Margaret Carpenter, 75, of Smith Mountain Lake, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Charles H. Carpenter, three daughters, and six grandchildren. Born in Sweden, Margaret came to the United States in her early twenties and became an American citizen and an avid Redskins fan. She loved life on the lake and was a 30+ year Jazzerciser.

A celebration of Margaret\"™s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Chapel, Bedford, with Pastor John Reale of Staunton Baptist Church officiating.
