Mari Ann Posey Pettyjohn, 50, of Buffalo, N.Y., died Sunday, May 14, 2017. She was the wife of Steven Clark Pettyjohn of Lynchburg.
Born September 29, 1966 in Fayetteville, N.C., Mari was a daughter of George Harley Posey and Barbara J. Posey, both of Lynchburg.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was survived by her daughter Lexi Pettyjohn and her boyfriend, Tyler Austin, of Lynchburg; her brother Craig Posey and his wife, Lorrie, of Forest; her niece and nephew, Carynne and Jonathan Posey, of Forest; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Service for Mari will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Forest Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Morgan Whitfield officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
