Maria Louise Underwood

Maria Louise Underwood (Nee Schafer), 59 of Bedford Va, passed away suddenly November 1, 2024. She was born in Philadelphia on February 4, 1965 and grew up in Haddonfield NJ.

Maria had a lifelong love of animals and compassion for those less fortunate. She loved the mountains of Virginia and the shores of New Jersey and North Carolina.

She is survived by her husband Ken and brother Alan of Deerfield Beach, FL and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is pre-deceased by her brothers Chris Schafer and Glenn Schafer, her father Robert Schafer and her mother Catherine Schafer.

In lieu of flowers, say a prayer for her and make a donation to the Lynchburg Humane Society, Lynchburg, VA. She will be interned at a later date.
