Marian Beth Lubbert

MARIAN BETH LUBBERT, 60, of Abingdon, MD departed this life after suffering a fall while vacationing in Tybee Island, GA. She entered into the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ on August 13, 2021.
Marian was born in Port Chester, New York on October 23, 1960. She was the daughter of the late John Milton Lubbert and the late Inger Marie Lubbert (Andersen). She was predeceased by her brother Hans Peter Lubbert of Lynchburg VA and survived by her brother Eric John Lubbert and his wife Anna-Liisa Lubbert of Guilford, CT, her nephew Peter Lubbert, nieces Carolyn (Chris) DiLeo and Rebecca Lubbert, along with many cousins in the US and abroad.
She grew up in Stamford CT, and graduated from Anderson University, IN. Marion started her career in Connecticut with Max Factor Cosmetics in the early ‘80’s and then moved to Los Angeles with the company in the mid ‘80’s where she worked in the Legal Department on their Copyrighting and Licensing work. In 1992, Max Factor was acquired by Procter and Gamble and Marian moved to Hunt Valley, Maryland where she was part of the Marketing Services group and later became a Cover Girl Retail Account Planner. In 2018, Marian moved back to Connecticut to work for the Duracell Division on the Retail Brand Planning team. Most recently, she worked in New York City, where she worked in the Coty Corporate office prior to retiring.
Marian had many other hobbies and interests which included extensive travel and adventure, playing the piano and violin, hiking, biking, swimming and camping. She also enjoyed researching family genealogy. If you were a friend, you were sure to get regular phone calls from Marian.
In the midst of her death Marian was able to give the gift of life with the donation of her kidneys.
Marian was greatly affected in recent years with the untimely death of her beloved brother Hans. Because of her faith in God through His son Jesus Christ, she is at peace and rest at her final home in Heaven with her parents and brother Hans.
Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled, trust in God, trust also in me, in my father’s house there are many rooms, and I go to prepare a place for you.”
Grave site service held on Friday August 20, 2021, at 11am at Fort Hill Cemetery in Lynchburg, VA.
