Our beloved wife, aunt, and friend departed this earthly life to be free with the Lord on August 8, 2019.
Born in Richmond, Virginia, Marie was a daughter of the late Louie and Marion Williams.
Marie was preceded in death by a devoted step son, De’Suan Steven Johnson, and a sister, Lizzy, who was referred to as her best friend, confidant, and partner in crime, in their younger years.
Throughout her life Marie worked at various jobs, which included Sheetz, Good Will Industries, and Kmart, where she would meet the love of her life, Robert.
Her leisure time was spent riding on the Parkway with her beloved husband, enjoying Gods beautiful sceneries, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
She leaves to cherish fond and beautiful memories of a life well lived, her loving and devoted husband, of 28 years, Robert Louis Hurt, of Amherst, VA, a brother, Kenneth Williams of Richmond, loving brothers in-law and sisters in-law, Raymond Donithan, of South Carolina, Gary Hurt (Claudia), of Madison Heights, Emma Hamilton, Mary Slaughter (Charles), of Hopewell, VA, Shirley Patillo (Russell), of Madison Heights, nieces, Cheryl Carter (Taisha), Cheronda Slaughter, of Hopewell, Valerie Patillo Johnson (David), of Appomattox, Tracie Hall (Jessica), Stephanie Mabry (Cody) of Lynchburg, Christi Lynn, Tiffany Enloe of South Carolina, Cathy Lynn New of Richmond, and a nephew Brandon Fleshman (Sherelle) of Madison Heights.
A Celebration of Marie’s Life will be held at Tharp’s Madison Heights Chapel on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Bishop David Slaughter officiating
