Marion Agee Heath

Marion Agee Heath, 80, of Bedford and formerly of Suffolk, died Friday, September 13, 2013 at her residence. She was born October 7, 1932 in Bedford, VA a daughter of the late Hubert Miller Agee and Jessie Mattie Carter Agee.

In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Blaney T. Heath, Jr.; and two brothers, Melvin and Edward Agee. She is survived by two children, Dennis Heath (Neda) and Stella Heath Germ (Ralph); and her cherished great-niece, Valerie Detamore (Joey). She also leaves behind four grandchildren, David Mynes, Richard (fiancée Julee), Douglas, and Jessie Germ; two great-grandchildren, Patrick and Hunter Mynes; two great great-nephews, Justin and Lucas Detamore; a brother, Charlie Agee (Mabel); a sister, Alma McCulley; a sister-in-law, Mary Parker; a nephew, James Agee (Martha), Martha was her best friend for more than 40 years; David Goodman (Mia) a friend who was like a son; and numerous other family members and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12 Noon, Monday, September 16, 2013 at Suck Spring Baptist Church Cemetery with Chaplain Mark Flores officiating. The family will gather at The Detamore Homestead, Bedford following the service.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to Mary Jo, Mark, Teresa, and Dr. Beahm at Bedford Hospice Care for all their care and kindness throughout her illness.
