Marion Ruth Beane Campbell
Marion Ruth Beane Campbell, 67, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2011 at University of Virginia Medical Center. Born in Alabama on July 19, 1944, daughter of Howard Lawrence Beane (Deceased) and Clara Eliza Crowe Beane. In addition to her father, Marion is preceded in death by her loving grandmother, Lida Crowe and her two dogs Chipper and Radar.
She was a people person who loved her family and friends. She spent her time camping, enjoying the outdoors, reading and her work. She was a Psychology Associate with the Central Virginia Training Center. She loved animals, especially German Shepherds.
Marion is survived by her three children, Joy Scales and her husband, Joe, Heather Hughes and John Purdy; 5 grandchildren, Jessi Scales, Jacob Scales, Lee Ann Hughes, River Hughes and Andy Hughes; 4 siblings, Jo Anne Bearden, David Beane and his wife Connie, Charles Beane and his wife, Betty and Warren Beane and his wife, Theresa; also numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bedford Humane Society, P.O. Box 1293, Bedford, VA 24523.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Central Virginia Training Centers, Living Skills Center, upper level 6 building. Please call for directions.
