Marion Warmack Morrison
Marion Lucille Warmack Morrison, 92, of Westminster Canterbury in Lynchburg, VA, died Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was born January 11, 1921 in Montbrook, FL; the daughter of William Jennings and Ruby Slaughter Warmack.
Marion was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Dr. Robert Lord Morrison; a granddaughter, Jennifer Carey Morrison; and her siblings, William D. Warmack, Joseph S. Warmack and Muriel W. Mooney.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Lord Morrison, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Danville, Dale Stuart Morrison and his wife, Elizabeth, of Charlotte, NC, and Thomas Sherwood Morrison and his wife, Tommye, of Thomasville, NC; two daughters, Laura Ann Morrison of Corvallis, OR, and Susan Elizabeth Morrison Boyers and her husband, Edward, of Forest; five grandchildren, Brian K. Morrison of Australia, Christopher S. Morrison, presently in Southeast Asia, David S. Morrison of Charlotte, NC, Lucy C. Morrison of Chicago, IL, and Megan E. Lynch and her husband, Zack, of Glen Burnie, MD; and one great-grandson, Gabriel Lynch.
Marion attended the University of Maryland at College Park and graduated from Randolph Macon Women\"™s College. She was an Auxiliary volunteer at Lynchburg General Hospital for many years and was active in the New Hanover Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in Wilmington, NC.
An expert seamstress, accomplished artist and culinary extraordinaire, Marion was able to master any interest that she pursued. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother to her five children. She will be sadly missed.
The family wishes to acknowledge and express gratitude to the staff on the English ward as well as hospice staff of Virginia Baptist Hospital for their excellent care and thoughtfulness extended to our Mother and family members.
