Marjorie Bickford Zito
Marjorie Bickford Zito, 95, of Stuarts Draft, VA (formerly of Lynchburg) passed into the arms of her Savior on Tuesday March 12, 2013 at Shenandoah Nursing Home, Fishersville, VA where she had been cared for lovingly for the past five years.. She was the loving wife of the late Benjamin Joseph Zito.
Marjorie was born April 28, 1917 in Upper Darby, PA. She most recently was a member of the Mt. Vernon Church of the Brethren in Stuarts Draft, VA.
She is survived by her two daughters: Miriam Z. Hermosa (Agustin) of Lynchburg and Marjorie Z. Peak (James) of Stuarts Draft, grandchildren, Kathy Brandt (Joe), Ruth Gillespie (Bill), Paul Hermosa (Hailey), Kevin Peak (Juli), Andy Peak, and Andrea Stewart (John) and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, parents and brothers she was preceded in death by a son Ronald Benjamin Zito.
A Celebration of Marjorie\"™s Life will be held Monday, April 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with her grandson, Kevin Peak,M.Div., officiating. Interment will be at Fort Hill Memorial Park at another time.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Christian Services, PO Box 827, Martinsburg, WV 25402, Attn: John & Andrea Stewart Adoption. Or, American Diabetes Association, Bill & Ruth Gillespie 1152 Presidential Circle, Forest, VA 24551 for Tour de Cure "William's Hope".
