Marshall Tweedy

Marshall Deon Tweedy, of Madison Heights, suddenly departed this life on January 26, 2025, at his residence. He was born to the late Angie Morris (Lucky). He was raised by James Luther Jones and Irma Jones along with the help of his sisters Cora Jones and Jewel Garland.

 In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Rogenat Lee Jones, Hezekiah Murrell, Charles Edward Jones, James Nelson Jones, and Gralium Cheatham, nephews; Klarren Thomas, George Moore Jr.; uncle Clayton Tweedy. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He worked for VSI for 8 years where his crew members spoke highly of him. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

 He is survived by his loving wife Pamela A. Tweedy; his children Brittany Tweedy (Mun’Arsenio), Brandi Tweedy (Brandon), Brooklyn Tweedy (Derek), Channa Douglas, Michael Douglas; siblings Jackie Lombard (Lucio), Charles Morris (Mary), Craig Morris, Cora Jones (Rogers), Jewel Garland (James), Miaryann James, Zanita (Penny) Robinson (Melvin), Katherine Jones; his aunt Mary Tweedy (Andre); uncles Horace Tweedy, Joe Tweedy (Leotta), Carlton Tweedy; father-in-law Paul Alexander Sr., sister-in-law Angela Parrish, brother-in-law Paul Jr. and Jeffery Alexander; nieces Mary (P.L.), Wanda, Monica, Bartista, Valerie, Tara Morgan, Sandra, LaTonia, Patty, Miracle, Erica, Martha, Marianna, Bridget, Tara Chambers, Ashton, Ardaisa; nephews Ernest Jr. (Marie) Reggie (Angie) Milford, Matthew, Charles, Bahkoem, Elicio, Taeqwan, Archie; three devoted nephews Omorie, Tyrone, Colby; grandchildren Julianna, Jaedius, Rahlei, Jaylen; cousins Stanley "Brother" (Marlyn), and devoted friends Bernard, Colbert, Shane, Joe, Chindano, Jay, Calvin, Charles, Chris and many more friends and family who loved him dearly.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg Chapel
