Martha Donna Lawrence Crockett

March 15, 1984 — June 4, 2024

Pilot Mountain

A gift to our family, Martha Donna Lawrence Crockett was born on March 15,1984 in our

Summerfield Community home in Fries, Virginia.  She was delivered by her earthly Father,

Thomas A. Lawrence, and presented to her beautiful, brave mother, Larraine Sanderson

Lawrence, Blessing us in ways known and to be revealed, she became a little sister to

Shannon, Sharr, Tammy, Tommy, Sarah, Peter and later a big sister to twins, Casey and Stacey

Lawrence.

Martha was our baby girl. She reminds us of music, babies, sunshine, stars and daisies.

An innocent, blonde-haired, blue eyed, tiny stick of dynamite.  Like St. Martha of the Holy Bible,

Our Martha was busy, hospitable and at time distracted by her enormous effort to provide

necessities and comfort for her family and friends.  Without a doubt, Martha had a deep desire

for that which we all want, that “which shall not be taken away”, the peace of Jesus that isn’t

attached to the things of this world like food, home and physical comforts.  On Tuesday, June 4,

2024, she was returned to her Father in Heaven to reconnect to the peace that she diligently sought

and so generously deserves.

Martha expressed in her own writings that her best friend was her husband, Joshua Lee Crockett.

Together, they were blessed with what she describes as her most valued accomplishments in

Life their compassionate, son, Jessie Bayse Crockett and precious daughter, Joslin Leah Crockett.

Being their mother was her reason for breathing and her greatest joy in this life.

Marcie, we will miss your sweet smile, warm hugs and earthly presence, but know you are surely

Dancing in the sky.   Until we meet again.

Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep: if I should die before I wake, I pray the

Lord my soul to take.

Martha will be honored and placed to rest in the mountains of Ararat, Virginia on Monday, June 10,

11 o’clock am, 2024 on Dad’s Family Farm.
