Martha Falwell Ferguson
Martha Falwell Ferguson, 68, of Lynchburg died Wednesday February 6, 2013.
Martha was born August 5, 1944 in Lynchburg a daughter of the late Walker Eubank Falwell and the late Gertrude Ella Thomas Falwell. Martha worked in the Finance department with General Electric and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son Alan Ferguson and his wife Karen of Madison Heights, two granddaughters Bailey and Jordan Ferguson both of Madison Heights, a brother-in-law Sam Phillips of Lynchburg, a niece Jackie Lipscomb and husband Bruce of Chicago, ILL, a nephew Chad Phillips and his wife Jenny of Lynchburg, great-nieces and a great-nephew Brooke and Blake Lipscomb, and Christie Phillips.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anne Phillips and Nancy Falwell.
A Memorial Service for Martha will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 16, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis Beckwith officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society 2316 Atherholt Road Lynchburg, VA 24502.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Joann Pinkerton, Dr. Rodney Jamil, Dr. John Densmore, and everyone affiliated with the University of Virginia and the Emily Couric Cancer Center for their loving care of Martha during her illness.
