Martin Antione Davis ,63, of Lynchburg, VA passed away on November 8th , Martin was born May 17th, 1961, in Lynchburg, VA, the son of Dorothy Lovelace and was raised by his grandparents Ida and Phil Davis.
Martin graduated from Heritage High School in 1979. Martin was a great father who loved his children, a wonderful uncle and a loving soul that was there for new and old friends alike.
He has never met a stranger because every person in the world was just a person he hadn’t met yet. Martin could strike a conversation with anyone that made you feel like you had known each other for years. He liked to play poker and cards with his friends and played the guitar in his free time. Martin loved to travel and make road trips to his favorite places as well as places of memory in his family. He loved to eat a wide array of cuisine, football and more specifically, The Dallas Cowboys, which His daughter Dalis is lovingly named after.
Martin was a member of Altha Grove and visited other churches from time to time, but was never far from God and instilled in his children the principle that you are never more than a conversation away from faith.
Remaining to cherish Martins memory are his children, Dalis Davis, Andrea Morton and Bryana Morton; grandchild, Nevaeh ; brother, Marcellus Davis(Tameka); sister, Althea Dove(Jeffery) ; and nieces LaKeisha Smith (Octavious), Lataira Davis, Jennifer Dove, Traci Carter (Joe), Angela Davis and nephew Marcellus Davis Jr (LaShaee) and Aunts Phyllis Morris ( Levi), Emma Hill and Uncles Randolph Davis (Elise) and Phillip Davis (Bunnie) and a host of cousins, family and friends.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Judy Smith for being a lifelong friend and always by his side after they found there way back to each other later in life.
Preceding Martin in death are his child, Rochelle Davis; mother, Dorothy Lovelace
