Marvin James “Jimmy” Penny, 73, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at his residence with his son by his side.
Born February 26, 1942, he was predeceased by his father, Marvin James Penny, Sr. and his brother, Roger Lee Penny.
He is survived by his mother, Beatrice (Bea) Harris Penny; his son, Marvin James “M.J.” Penny, III; and his brother, Dwight Penny.
He retired from Lynchburg Foundry and was previously employed by Peakland Chevron.
Per his request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Centra Hospice, Dr. Robert Headley, and especially, Ted and Rebecca Duncan.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
