Marvin Lee Tuck, 81, of Bedford, passed away at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, on Monday, December 21, 2015. He was born on November 5th, 1934. He was the son of the late Roy B. Tuck and Eva Dalton Tuck. In addition to his parents Marvin was preceded in death by his brother Roy Edward Tuck.

Marvin was a member of Morgan’s Baptist Church where he served as deacon and taught Sunday school. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and flat footing. He also held memberships in the Bedford Masonic Lodge #244, Moneta Ruritan Club and was a life time member of Moneta Vol. Fire Department since 1956 where he served as fire chief for 12 years. Marvin was the founder and previous owner/operator of Tuck’s Tire and Automotive.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Nancy Gaynelle Tuck; three children, Ricky Tuck and wife Michelle, Wanda Tuck Richards, and Cindy Tuck and her husband Curt Coffman.; eight grandchildren, Trey, Harmony ,Tyler, Dana, Keagan, Kobie, Savannah and Sharee; two great-grandchildren, Marlee and Nyah; one brother Melvin Ray Tuck and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

A funeral service and celebration of Marvin’s life will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Morgan’s Baptist Church with Pastor Steven Parker and Rev. Melvin Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors being provided by the Army National Guard of Roanoke. There will be a reception to follow in the church fellowship hall. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 pm on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford. Tharp Funeral Home in Bedford is assisting the family.
